Path for Her is supported by a collaboration of driven, smart, and compassionate people. Our team shares a vision of a better educated Ethiopia and each one contributes in their own unique way.
Feven Getachew – Founder and CEO
Feven has over a decade of experience in development and marketing. As founder for Path for Her, she has put all her drive and focus on supporting school-aged Ethiopian girls by funding the academic tools they need to complete their education.
Feven loves meeting the girls, parents, and teachers who have been supported by Path for Her, as well as getting ‘her girls’ mid-semester and end of year grades.
Feven is a John’s Hopkins Carey Business School graduate and also owns a marketing firm and real estate investment company.
Naomi Pizarro - Board Director, Operations and HR Manager
Naomi has spent 20+ years coordinating and implementing international development projects in various human resource roles. She has spent decades balancing the complex and discrete needs of organizations across the world, including those operating in areas like Iraq, Cuba, and Lebanon.
With her experience in international affairs, Naomi has been invaluable in recommending and implementing goals for Path for Her. She is also a powerful and moving public speaker.
A Northern Virginia College alumna, Naomi enjoys spending time with her children and sailing when she has the chance.
Banchi Gizachew – Board Member
Banchi Gizachew is currently a Contracting Officer with the US Department of Agriculture working primarily in Foreign Agricultural Services.
Banchi has wide-ranging international experience in the Middle East and Africa in facilitating partnerships, consulting, and working with nonprofits of various sizes and missions. In addition, she also has a true passion and valuable insight on the crucial role of international development work.
Banchi holds a BA in International Studies from Portland State University and MA in Middles Eastern Studies from Tel Aviv University.
Gresham “Gresh” W. Harkless Jr. – Board Member
Gresham Harkless is the founder of CEO Blog Nation and Blue 16 Media. He has used his passion for entrepreneurship and innovation to not only run his own small businesses, but to also support others who wish to work for themselves.
Gresham has a deep passion for girls’ education and has even written a short book on the topic, Lil’ Bessie Starts a Business: How One Girl Started a Business and You Can Too!
Gresham is a Georgetown University alumni and worked as an adjunct professor at Northern Virginia Community College.
